Crossroads Entertainment Conference

The Crossroads Entertainment Conference is going on today and tomorrow in downtown Des Moines, IA, and later today I have the pleasure of sitting on a panel talking about "Making Money in Music". Thanks to Jill Haverkamp of On Pitch for inviting me! It should be a great experience for me and hopefully for anyone that wants to come listen!

Squarespace Introduces Social Widgets

Squarespace, the great WYSIWYG blog/website tool (that is powering this site..), has announced the release of social widgets that can be placed into your website.  Right now, you can embed a little widget into your sidebar that shows a customizable feed from Twitter, Flickr, or RSS.  After using it a little bit for my site, its pretty nifty because you can customize the kinds of info you want to be shown and filter out certain tweets, for example, in the Twitter widget.  It also keeps the look and feel of your site as opposed to some hacked in widgets that stand out like a sore thumb.

More social networks will be supported soon, including Digg and Delicious.
